Ford Ecosport in Nigeria
The Ford EcoSport is the smallest of the blue oval badge's six crossover SUVs. It was built in India and ran for many years, covering millions of kilometers throughout the world.
The EcoSport's front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are powered by a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both engines have a heavy curb weight of more than 3,000 pounds and more than 3,300 pounds, respectively, which makes acceleration difficult. The EcoSport rides nicely, especially in city traffic, but the steering is a little weak.
The front-wheel-drive turbo-3 gets 27 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. The heavier all-wheel-drive variant with the normally aspirated four-cylinder engine achieves 23/29/25 mpg, which isn't much better than a good turbo-4 offered by many other manufacturers, including Ford's next-size-up crossover, the Escape.
The NHTSA awarded the EcoSport a four-star overall crash rating, with five stars for side-impact protection, four stars for rollover resistance with all-wheel drive, and three stars (estimated) for the same test with front-wheel drive. The EcoSport has not been tested by the IIHS. Blind-spot monitors are available on the EcoSport, but adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warnings with automatic emergency braking are not. The EcoSport is available in four trim levels: S, SE, SES, and Titanium.

Interior
The cabin is made up of a lot of trim components, but they're all properly organized. The Titanium has a luxurious 8.0-inch touchscreen, while the base models use 4.2-inch LCD screens from Ford's cheap bin. The switchgear is antiquated but functional, although the quality and finish of Ford's other crossovers are nicer. The EcoSport, on the other hand, absorbs road noise better than expected.
Cloth seats with little bolstering are standard on all EcoSports. The Titanium model's leather provides extra padding and lumbar support. The front seats aren't particularly wide, and the driver rubs against the center console.
Driving impression of the Ford Ecosport
In theory, the EcoSport has a great powerplant and nimble handling, but in practice, it's just ordinary.
The standard 2019 EcoSport is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo-3 engine, a 6-speed automated transmission, and a front-wheel drive. The turbo-3 handles a higher curb weight than typical vehicles this size with 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission makes smooth, silent shifts.
All-wheel drive is a straightforward system that distributes power between the front and back wheels based on traction. AWD vehicles can tow 2,000 pounds, while front-drive variants can haul 1,400 pounds. It's feasible to use a dirt bike, snowmobile, jet ski, or garden utility trailer.
The EcoSport isn't very agile, but it doesn't handle badly in general. However, if you're sitting in a front-wheel-drive vehicle with 17-inch wheels and all-season tires, you'll notice that the steering wanders a little when driving on grooved pavement. However, the suspension has been tweaked to absorb even bigger bumps, and the independent front and rear suspensions protect it from leaning in corners.
Do you want to get yours?
The Ford EcoSport is ideal for individuals looking for a tiny new car with a larger-than-expected back seat. For those looking for nimble handling and turbocharged power, Ford offers the bigger Escape. Cars45 is where you can acquire yours in Nigeria. Now is the time to go.
